A little about me…
I’m Suzanne, the writer behind Albania Voyagers. Originally from Canada, I have been living abroad since 2018 with my dog, Watson.
I am a full time slow traveller, usually spending months in one location or region to fully experience it. Albania impressed me so much I return every year for several months at a time.
EXPLORE ALBANIA ON YOUR OWN
Albania Travel Guides
Discover why Albania is one of the most under-rated destinations in Europe!
For many years Albania was under a communist dictatorship and closed to foreigners. It started welcoming tourists in 1990.
While it may lack a sophisticated tourist infrastructure, it more than makes up for it with authentic charm and stunning landscapes. It’s also one of Europe’s most budget friendly countries.
Albania has it all – pristine beaches on the same coastline as Greece, an alpine region which is paradise for nature lovers, and a rich cultural history influenced by the Ottoman and Byzantine empires. Not to mention fabulous food and wine!
