Where to Stay in Korce: the Best Areas & Places to Stay 2026

Korce isn’t a big place, but where you stay is still important. The best area to stay in Korce is by Bulevardi Republika in the centre. The area around the Old Bazaar is popular too, but it’s a busier part of Korce and not as close to the sites as Bulevardi Republika.

As I got to know Korce quite well, I’ve put together this list of hotels and guesthouses to stay at, organized by neighbourhood. I’ll also tell you about each area, so you can choose the perfect place to stay in Korce.

The best areas in Korce to stay in

Almost all of Korce’s things to do are in the centre. And since Korce is small, you’ll be able to walk everywhere as long as you’re not staying in the outskirts.

If it’s your first time visiting, you may also want to check out these Albania travel tips for practical advice on things like money, safety, and what to expect.

Many hotels in Korce are boutique properties and small guest houses in restored mansions or heritage buildings. Compared to Tirana and the Albanian Riviera, prices are lower, another reason Korce is worth visiting.

Where to Stay in Korce: Best Areas & Places to Stay

If you’re in Korce for a few days you’ll want to base yourself in the centre. It will be easy to walk to the sites and attractions (only a couple are out of the centre), and you’ll be close to Korce’s best places to eat.

These are the best neighbourhoods of Korce to stay in. They are all central, close to the attractions, plenty of restaurants, cafes and other amenities like pharmacies, ATMs and grocery shops.

Bulevardi Republika

I stayed in this area for 10 days the last time I was in Korce, in an apartment by the Majestic Cinema. It’s a fantastic neighbourhood, perfect for short or long term.

Bulevardi Republika is a lovely area that is well located for exploring Korce. It’s very central and starts by the famous Resurrection of Christ Cathedral, where the pedestrian promenade begins.

Mature trees, parks and European style mansions line Bulevardi Republika, along with shops, restaurants and cafes. Behind the boulevard on both sides are historic neighbourhoods with cobblestone roads and older homes.

Bulevardi Republika

This is the Airbnb I stayed at by Bulevardi Republika, which has a fantastic location and was very comfortable.

Best hotels and guest houses on Bulevardi Republika, Korce

  • Life Gallery Hotel: This boutique spa property on Bulevardi Republika is considered the best hotel in Korce. With arched walkways, dim lighting and lots of taupes and rusts, it has a chic minimalist vibe. Rooms are generous, with floor to ceiling windows, and many with fireplaces. Doubled from $160, including breakfast and parking. Upper floor rooms have amazing mountain views.
  • Vila E’bel Boutique Hotel & Spa: Luxury hotel on Bulevardi Republika, within 10 minutes walk of most sites. The hotel is in a beautifully restored mansion. Guest rooms featuring original architectural details and art deco bathrooms start at $80 USD, breakfast and parking included. You’ll be charmed by the inviting and cozy ambience of this hotel.
  • Park Plazza Hotel: This new boutique hotel was immediately across from my Airbnb on Bulevardi Republika. The location is superb. Modern and sleek rooms start at $75 USD, including breakfast. Next door to a park and within a 5 minute walk of attractions, numerous restaurants and cafes.
  • Sky View Hotel: Modern, new hotel located on the busier side of Bulevardi Republika, by Korce’s main commercial street. Very central location. The rooftop restaurant has amazing panoramic views of Korce. Family rooms have bunk beds for the kids. Room begin at $50 USD, including breakfast and parking. Fantastic value in the centre of Korce.

Korce Old Bazaar (Pazari i Korces)

This area is one of the oldest in Korce. The bazaar itself is very historic, dating back to the 1400s. It was recently restored and is now one of the most charming parts of the city. It’s characterized by cobblestone streets with shops and guest houses, and a main square lined with cafes and restaurants.

The area is a busy one – it gets a lot of tourists because of the bazaar, and it’s near the main commercial street, with a lot of lower rise communist era residential blocks.

Personally, I don’t like it is much as Bulevardi Republika, but it is more of a mixed neighbourhood – not quite so upscale.

Where to Stay in the Old Bazaar, Korce

  • Hani i Pazarit Boutique Hotel: This hotel is located right in the Old Bazaar on the main square. It was originally built in the 1800s as a caravanserai, and today is a restored cultural gem. A charming and unique hotel, it is part of Korce’s Ottoman history. Doubles from $70 USD, including breakfast and parking. Exceptional heritage property.
  • Tree Hotel: A newer boutique hotel on the far side of the bazaar area. Not as central, but it’s quieter and only a 5 minutes walk to the Old Bazaar. Comfortable rooms from $55 USD, breakfast included. Very good value close to the Old Bazaar.

Bulevardi Fan Noli

This is the main commercial street of Korce. The nicest part of the street is the eastern side (within the outline marked on the map above). This part of Bulevardi Fan Noli is divided by a park in the centre, and has lots of trees, small shops and cafes. It’s just a nice area, suitable for a long or short stay.

It’s less touristy than Bulevardi Republika, but still very nice. You can walk to the main sites in 10 minutes from here.

Best Accommodation near Bulevardi Fan Noli, Korce

  • Vila Lordev: Very welcoming family run guest house behind Bulevardi Fan Noli. Lots of homey touches throughout the new property, like local artwork and jams and petulla (Albanian pancakes) made by Grandma. Comfortable rooms begin at $70 USD, including breakfast and parking. One of the few pet friendly guest houses.
  • Legacy Hotel: Very nice small hotel tucked away behind Bulevardi Fan Noli on a quiet street. You can walk to most sites in 10 minutes. There’s a lovely cafe in the lobby. Rooms are tastefully decorated in classic French style and start at $60 USD, breakfast included. Hotel offers car and bike rental.
  • Hotel Vila Mano: Traditional Korce mansion converted into a guest house. Property is older, but very comfortable and cozy. Rooms are on the smaller size, but clean, comfortable, and some with mountain views, starting at $40 USD. Very good value in the centre.

Last Words on Where to Stay in Korce: the Best Areas & Places to Stay

As long as you stay in the centre, you’ll be within walking distance of everything – Korce is not big. There’s also no ‘bad’ areas of Korce, although some have more communist era apartment blocks.

Whether you choose to stay in the lively Korce Old Bazaar area, the stately and upscale Bulevardi Republika neighbourhood, or the lovely and more local Bulevardi Fan Noli, these are all excellent places to stay in Korce.
